Veronica Shireman- Treasurer
Veronica Shireman is the President of Shireman Construction Management, based in Harrison County, Indiana. She oversees all aspects of the company’s construction management operations and manages its financial and administrative functions.
Before transitioning to the construction industry, Veronica worked as a nurse practitioner. She holds a Master’s degree from Vanderbilt University, which has allowed her to bring a unique blend of clinical precision and compassionate leadership to her current work.
Veronica is actively involved in volunteering for several community activities. She currently serves on the 1SI Economic Development Council and has previously held the role of Treasurer for the Harrison County YMCA Board of Directors. She and her husband of 15 years, Jeff Shireman, live in Lanesville with their three children—Abigail, Luke, and Natalie.
Sarah Dougherty- Chairperson
Sarah Whitis Dougherty was born in Harrison County and raised in Laconia, graduating from South Central High School. Sarah received a Bachelor of Science in Business from Indiana University Southeast and is the Marketing & Physician Recruitment Manager for Harrison County Hospital.
Sarah serves on the Harrison County Hospital Foundation Board and is the Vice President of Harrison County Lifelong Learning. She has also served for numerous years in various roles on the Boards of Corydon School Parent Teacher Organizations and is the President of the Board for the Harrison County Swim Team.
Sarah and her husband Ian live in Corydon with their daughters, Ella and Hallie. Sarah tries to read as much as possible and enjoys following her daughters’ swim teams.
Jeff Smith- Advertising and Marketing
Jeff Smith is a 30-year media business veteran specializing in digital and print advertising. He spent 21 years with Gannett (Courier-Journal) and 7 with the News & Tribune as Advertising Sales Director. Smith is a Sales Director for Emerald Expositions and works in their media division. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, he has called Harrison County home for 18 years. Jeff resides in Elizabeth with April, his wife of 17 years, and their three children. Their two younger children attend school in Lanesville.
Jeff enjoys volunteering as a softball coach for the Lanesville Youth League and teaches Sunday Faith Formation classes at St. Mary Church in Lanesville. The Smiths are avid campers and can be found in their RV throughout the many campgrounds in Southern Indiana on any given weekend.
Casey Hill- Parade Coordinator
Casey Hill is a Lanesville resident who has been married to Nick for 15 years. They have two daughters, Avery and Abilene, who attend Lanesville Elementary School. Hill graduated from Bellarmine University with undergraduate degrees in Business Administration and Foreign Language and International Studies. She then went on to obtain a Masters in Business Administration from Indiana University Southeast. A highlight of her time in college was a three-month study abroad program she completed in Toledo, Spain.
Casey spends her free time camping with friends and family, coaching her girls in various sports, and traveling. The Hill family loves to visit National Parks and explore the outdoors.
Felicia Hoehn- Corydon Sign Captain
Felicia Hoehn grew up in Corydon and still lives there with her husband, Brian, and their four young children. After graduating from Corydon Central High School, she attended the University of Louisville for her pre-pharmacy courses and Purdue University College of Pharmacy, where she graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. She is currently a practicing community pharmacist.
Her family is a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Bradford. Three of her four children currently attend Lanesville Elementary School, and the youngest is still at home. She enjoys exercising, baking, attending her children's activities, and spending time with her family.
Jessica Baird- Lanesville Sign Captain
Jessica Baird grew up in Lanesville, Indiana, and graduated from Floyd Central High School. After high school, Baird earned a degree in Business Marketing and Management. She now resides back in Lanesville with Keith, her husband of 17 years, and together, the couple has six children. The couple's oldest child proudly serves in the US Army in Hawaii, and their second son will be a Floyd Central High School senior next year. The couple's four younger children, all girls, attend Lanesville Elementary.
Baird recently completed her tenure as the Lanesville PTSO President, a role that allowed her to contribute meaningfully to her community. Outside of family and community involvement, Jessica loves traveling, reading, and cheering on her kids in all their activities, including football, basketball, softball, and cheerleading.
Carson & Grace Radcliff- Depauw Sign Captains
Grace (Goldman) and Carson Radcliff are both lifelong residents of Harrison County and proud graduates from North Harrison High School. They were married last June on Grace's family farm in Depauw. The couple is currently building a house on family land. Carson is a graduate of the University of Louisville and a nurse at Norton's Children's Hospital specializing in Pediatric Oncology. Grace is a Cosmetologist at Tease Salon in Corydon. Both enjoy spending time with family and friends.
Tyson & Lacey Yeager- Laconia Sign Captains
Tyson and Lacey Yeager are lifelong residents of Harrison County. They have been married for 22 years. Tyson has been employed at Kitchen Compact for 24 years. He enjoys spending his free time volunteering with Rehoboth Presbyterian Church in Laconia as a session member and a 4-H volunteer. Lacey is a 26-year employee at Caesars Southern Indiana. She is a community volunteer with the Harrison County Community Foundation and is also a dedicated volunteer at Rehoboth and in 4-H.
Tyson and Lacey have two sons, Brayden and Brody. The family enjoys spending time together and working on their small homestead.
Melissa & Greg Best- Elizabeth Sign Captains
Melissa Best has been a proud resident of Harrison County her entire life. For 32 years, she has built a life with her husband, Greg, who works with CA Fulkerson as part of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 181. They live together in Elizabeth. Melissa serves her community as a deputy with the Harrison County Treasurer's office. The couple has raised two children, Tyler Best and Regan Applegate, and now cherishes their time with their three grandchildren—Graham, Willow, and Liam.
David Jones- Palmyra Sign Captain
David Jones, 68, has been a proud property owner in Harrison County since 2014. With a career spanning over four decades, David has spent his career behind the wheel of a tanker truck, hauling chemicals across the region. The last fourteen years of his career were with Liquid Transport, where he earned a reputation for reliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic that defined his long-standing career on the road.
David fills his free time with the things he loves most. A hands-on kind of guy, he enjoys tinkering with his Kubota tractor—bought from Jacobi’s in Palmyra—and takes pride in keeping it running like new. His mornings often start with breakfast alongside his buddies. Back at home, he’s never far from the company of his two loyal dogs, who are both constant companions.
